A Death Doula (or End-of-Life Doula) is a compassionate care provider who is tasked with providing support and education to one who is journeying in death. They act as a witness to your life, death and legacy.
As a Canadian Armed Forces member, I was fortunate enough to work with diverse populations with varying health projections throughout my many job opportunities in working as a Registered Nurse. These experiences, allowed me the privilege of working with many Canadians living with physical and mental illness, and in death and dying.
Releasing from the CAF in 2022, I have begun working with local families in Nova Scotia, caring for them and their dying loved ones through the stages of end-of-life, grief, and bereavement. I hope to be able to help you navigate your journey; through health care and end of life issues, as well.
As a End-of-Life Educator, I can help you live again, during this vulnerable and painful time. Let me be your research-assistant, your companion to your health care appointments, your guide, your advocate, and your support.
